Manchester City suffered yet another loss in North London

Manchester City suffered yet another loss in North London, but this time to title rivals Arsenal, after another disappointing performance.

Despite spending vast sums of money on players like Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling, City have a little improved in terms of consistency. They have achieved two wins and three defeats in the last five games. This is more of a mid-table form. Against Arsenal, Yaya Touré came up with a wonderful goal but by then the game had been done and dusted. This match exemplified the season so far for City.

However, the defeat was very hard to take for defender Bacary Sagna, who was facing his former club.Arsenal were dominant from start to finish and they struggled to cope with the opposition pressure only for a few minutes towards the end. City came into the match with real hope of overtaking Arsenal to reclaim second spot in the league table. Now, they have fallen four points behind the gunners, who are a further two points behind table leaders Leicester. Realistically, Arsenal are now seen as the favourites for the title. The win not only gives Arsenal three points, but also confidence for the rest of the campaign.

"It's hard to take, I think we started the game really well, we had possession of the ball, and on their first shot they scored. So it was a bit against the game but we had to keep going to defend well as a team and we conceded before half-time.So it makes it difficult against a quality team. Now we have to keep our heads up because they are creating a gap. It was vital to score because I know this team quite well. I think we played quite well in general, of course we conceded some chances,” said Sagna.
