Sagna: Sergio Aguero is the best player in the Premier League

Manchester City’s Bacary Sagna has revealed his thoughts concerning who is the best player in the entire Premier League and the 33 yearold French defender statedthat Sergio Aguero is the best player that he has performed with in his entire career.

“For me he is the best player in the league, and probably one of the best players in the world. He is class, because he trains and enjoys football on the pitch and you can tell he gives the maximum for the team. He is very good. For me he is the best I have played with. I have played with great players, but he is just class.’’

“He never loses the ball, even when he seems to lose it he gets it back and holds it, and manages to create space and put himself in some situations and I think he lifts the team up.’’ BacarySagna said as he praised his fellow teammate Sergio Aguero.

The 2015-16 season of the Premier League is over and Sergio Aguero managed to finish as one of the top goal-scorers after scoring 24 goals in 30 matches which shows the impact and importance that the Argentine striker has had and ever since he joined Manchester City, he has always been a pivotal figure for the Premier League club.

BacarySagna is another important performer for Manchester City as he is a consistent starter but he does not get so much attraction compared to other players in the squad.

A few weeks ago, Sagna stated that if Manchester City was not able to secure a Champions League spot, the blame would be placed to all of the players of the English club including himself as they have not been performing and getting the results that they would have wanted to.

Fortunately for Manchester City, Manchester United dropped points in one of their last league games after losing against West Ham United and this allowed Manchester City to catch up and snatch the 4th position in the Premier League which is enough for Manchester City to secure a Champions League qualification spot for the upcoming season.

UNSURE FUTURE OF BACARY SAGNA

The defender is away now on international duty for the European Championship in his home country. The Frenchman still has a year left on his contract and with the number of changes expected at the club, the future of the player does not look bright.

The former Gunners right back seems very calm about the situation. When asked the 33-year old said: “I’d like to stay. Now, how it happens, we’ll see. We’ll see what he (Guardiola) thinks. He is a great coach and this is exciting. “For now, my focus is on City. But, as I said, I take things as they come. The first step is the Euros, then we’ll see what happens.”

The Spaniard will take over the helm of affairs ahead of the 2016/2017 campaign with the task of securing the English Premier League title and getting to at least the semis in the UEFA Champions League.

With such tasks and huge competition in Jose Mourinho at Manchester United who would be heavily gunning at winning the Premier League as the club are not in the Champions League. The latest StanJames betting has it pitched like a play-off between City and United as to who will win the title, with Chelsea and Arsenal pretty much written off by most pundits.

There’s also Anthonio Conte joining Chelsea fighting for the Premier League glory and Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool. Guardiola will be looking at setting up an elite team and Sagna’s name might not be on it with his age being another disadvantage.

Sagna made just nine appearances in his first year but had 28 in the Premier League last season. Though he wasn’t as defensive as Otamendi or even Clichy, he was able to pull three assists and attacked more. He had a pretty good season and could buy time for Guardiola to settle at the club but his future still remains in the clouds.
