Bacary Sagna Admits Communication Problems in City Defence
Bacary Sagna says that there have been problems with regard to communication in the Manchester City defence.
Since Pep Guardiola took over in the summer, defence has not been one of the strong points of Manchester City. It has led to the club slipping down from the title race. A goalless draw with Stoke City saw the club all 10 points behind Chelsea having played the same number of games. It is turning out into a disappointing campaign for the club. One of the players expected to depart the Etihad stadium in the summer is Sagna.

A goalless draw with Stoke City saw the club all 10 points behind Chelsea having played the same number of games. It is turning out into a disappointing campaign for the club. One of the players expected to depart the Etihad stadium in the summer is Sagna.
He played in the 5-3 win over Monaco in the Champions League. It is a positive result for the team with the view that they have a two-goal advantage over the French club. However, Monaco have given themselves a great chance of producing a comeback in the second leg as a result of scoring two away goals.
Away goals are extremely important in the Champions League, and City have been left disappointed as a result of this result. Sagna claimed that one of the reasons for City conceding three goals was a breakdown in communication in the back four. One of the criticisms of Guardiola has been rotating the squad too much – especially in the defence.
“We conceded three goals so of course I can’t be pleased as a defender but we managed to react, keep going forward and we never gave up.As a defender I am always a bit sad whenever we concede goals – that’s the only bad point. We need to remain compact and we need to communicate a bit more.On the pitch everything happens so quickly, and communication is the key. They managed to create some chances because we had a lack of communication we have to improve,” said Sagna.

WEST HAM WANT SAGNA
Premier League side West Ham United reportedly want to bid for Bacary Sagna this summer as they hope to add more experienced players to their squad. There are several reports that Slaven Bilic wants to get Sagna and another Man City star Pablo Zabaleta as right backa Sam Byram and Alvaro Arbeloa continue to struggle.
Pep Guardiola will most likely not renew the deals of Sagna and Zabaleta as their contracts lapse this summer, meaning Bilic could get the players on a free transfer.

Guardiola is under pressure, having struggled to take Manchester City to the next level – indeed the club are languishing in 4th spot at the moment, with all the manager plaudits going to Antonio COnte and his Chelsea side who have dominated the Premier League this season.
When Guardiola first took over the demand for Man City tickets reached new heights, with the club having to set up a new waiting list for season tickets, but since the honeymoon spell ended, any fan who wants a ticket for the 2017/18 season shouldn’t be disappointed.
Sky Sports reports that United would get at least one of both stars though the club is interested in both at the moments. Aside the duo, Saint Etienne’s Kevin Malcuit has been linked with the same role. Malcuit has the advantage of being able to play in defence, on the flanks and even in the attack. West Ham tried luring the Ligue 1 star but their bid in January fell through.
Zabaleta, 32, moved to England in 2008 from the La Liga. He has been a success at the Etihad but age seems to have caught up with him. He won the Premier League title in 2012 and again in 2014 with City, aside two FA Cups and a League Cup. He has played 27 times this term under Guadiola. There are rumours that he could move to China to see his career off.
Sagna on the other hand moved to the city of Manchester from London where he played for the Gunners. He helped City win the League Cup last term but he has dropped in the packing order this season. He had 25 caps as he battles Zabaleta for a shirt in the team.
West Ham have failed to make their mark in a tumultuous season despite their exploits last season. The Hammers seem to be staging a comeback next season.
