SAGNA: MANCHESTER CITY SHOULD SIGN KANE

The future of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is still up in the air and it continues to look like the star forward will not be playing at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium next season. In the last couple of seasons, Kane has proven to be one of the best strikers in the Premier League among current players and is even trying to chase down Alan Shearer’s record as the league’s highest goalscorer.

There have been talks about Kane leaving the London club, with many pundits and former players urging him to move to another club and increase his chances of winning titles. It looks like those talks have finally gotten into his head after coming out publicly last week to confess his ambitions of playing for the best clubs in the division and the desire of also wanting to win trophies.

A lot of clubs have already shown interest in signing the striker and they are the top football clubs in the division. The likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool have all registered an interest in signing the 28-year-old attacker but none of them have made any official bid yet.

Former Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna has now urged his former side to sign the prolific goalscorer this summer as he would make them a more feared side from next season. City have won the League Cup and the English Premier League title already this season, and have the treble in sight as they will play in the UEFA Champions League final against Chelsea on the 29th of May.

Kane will not come on the cheap though, with reports suggesting that Tottenham owner Daniel Levy keen on placing a price tag of at least £150 million on his star striker. But Sagna says he believes that City have the money and they should splash it on the striker.

SAGNA: CITY HUGE FAVORITES TO WIN UCL

The battle to be crowned the Champions of Europe between Manchester City and Chelsea is set to be a heavy battle and both teams have continued to prepare for the day that they would either be filled with so much joy or agony. Chelsea have already suffered a final heartbreak after losing the FA Cup title to Leicester City on Saturday evening courtesy of a Youri Tielemans wonderful strike. The Blues will now try to be more careful in their next final to ensure that they are more prepared than they were on Saturday.

City, on the other hand, would be looking to complete a treble after already securing the League Cup and the Premier League title. Pep Guardiola and his men are already gearing up preparations to try and win the one title they have never won in their history before.

Ahead of the final, there have been several analyses, predictions, and opinions shared as well. One of the people who have had one or two things to say about the big game is former City defender Bacary Sagna. The former France international right-back has tipped his former side for UEFA Champions League glory insisting that although the Blues are a worthy opponent for the final, they can’t stop City from conquering Europe.

Sagna said that Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is a great coach but his players still need a bit more time to click totally and play with the same rhythm. About Guardiola’s City team, Sagna said the Cityzens are already more integrated than Chelsea but it will be exciting to see if the Blues have any surprises up their sleeves when the two giants of English Football battle it out in Portugal on the 29th of May.

Either way, it’s expected to be a cracker of a fixture when these two teams lock horns in less than two weeks.

SAGNA: CITY CAN WIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Former Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna has declared that his former side have what it takes to be crowned UEFA Champions League winners this season even though he did not expect them to get up to this stage ad the start of the season. Sagna says City have surprised him and they have deserved every bit of success they have enjoyed so far this season from Cup glory, to almost winning the Premier League title, and now, almost getting to the Champions League final.

At the start of the season, even City manager Pep Guardiola would not have imagined that he would be preparing for the second leg of a semi-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain after defeating the French side by 2-1 in the first leg. The Spanish manager had never taken his City side beyond the quarter-finals of the competition since being appointed manager back in 2016, but having broken that curse this time around, he has gone farther than most people had expected.

In their last couple of matches in the Champions League, they have come against the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain and having successfully knocked out the German Bundesliga giants Dortmund from the competition, they’re looking to repeat the feat against a PSG side that has a lot of wealth in their attack.

They played the first leg of the encounter at the Parc des Princes and defeated the Parisiens at their own backyard to set up an interesting second-leg tie at the Etihad. City are now expected to finish the job in England, with Sagna insisting that as long as they get to the final, which they are close to reaching, they can defeat whoever they meet in the final and finally win the Champions League for the first time in their history.
