ARSENAL BEAT READING

Arsenal has defeated Reading FC in a Premier League match played at Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Arsenal won that match a big margin of 4-1.

This was the 18th defeat for Reading in the competition and very few of them are the close defeats. In most of the games, they have been beaten comprehensively and this was another one of those games. They are right at the bottom of the points table at the moment with only 23 points.

Arsene Wenger made a few changes in the starting XI for this match. Gervinho, Bacary Sagna, Tomas Rosicky and Aaron Ramsey were brought back into the line up.
Gervinho scored the first goal for the Gunners in the 11th minute. He was given a cross by Santi Cazorla and he slotted the ball home from a close distance.

The hosts had to wait for a while to double their lead. They eventually did that in the 3rd minute of the second half. Gervinho played a big role in that goal as well. He got rid of two Reading defenders and then, picked out Santi Cazorla who was inside the area. The Spaniard finished it wonderfully and Arsenal was 2-0 up.

Olivier Giroud scored the third goal for Arsenal in the 67th minute and after that, it was going to be an uphill task for the Royals.

In the very next minute, Hal Robson-Kanu found the net for Reading with a great header, but, that goal was never going to pressurize the Gunners as they were still too far ahead.

Arsenal got a penalty in the 77th minute and Mikel Arteta was the man who took the shot for them. The Spanish midfielder blasted the ball past Stuart Taylor to give his team a lead of 4-1. That goal sealed the match for the Gunners.

Arsenal will play its next match against West Bromwich Albion. That match will be played at The Hawthorns.
