SAGNA AIMS HIGH

The French defender of Arsenal joined the English in 2007 but this might just be his last season with the club of which is guided by Arsene Wenger.

Despite losing 1 of his more important and experienced players it has been reported that the veteran coach is already setting his sights on possible replacements which include: Micah Richards of Manchester City, Stephan Lichtsteiner of Juventus and the more probable Rocha from Atletico Mineiro.

Reports have been emerging stating that Sagna will most likely receive offers from other clubs especially from his hometown in France. He was signed from Auxerre in the year 2007 and ever since joining has played a pivotal role in the defense of Arsenal as he even had to play as a makeshift centre-back on a number of matches. Unibet have started offering betting markets on Sagna playing in france or Italy come the January transfer window.

21 years old Sime Vrsaljko is another player that Arsene Wenger is keeping a close eye as another potential replacement for Sagna who is currently on his last year of his contract.

They do have England international Carl Jenkinson but there are concerns Sagna may not re-sign so they are beginning to look around for replacements. Croatian international Vrsaljko, 21, is also attracting interest from Inter Milan even though he has only been at Genoa since July.

Vrsaljko is versatile defender that can play in either the left back or right back position and has attracted the attention of not only Arsenal and Inter Milan but others as well after making a superb start to his genoa career.

Sagna has enjoyed a fairly impressive time stamp with the Arsenal jersey but it looks like it might be over for him in the Premier League.
