SAGNA PROVED RIGHT ON GABRIEL JESUS

Frenchman BacarySagna has been proved right with his comments on Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus following his move to Arsenal this summer. The Brazil international left Premier League holders Manchester City to sign for the Gunners in a £45m deal last month and he has already made a big impression in the colours of his new team.

BacarySagnaand the aforementioned Jesus were teammates at Manchester City. The ex-Arsenal right-back talked about Jesus in an exclusive interview with Lord Ping last month as he said that the attacker can lead Arsenal to challenge for the Premier League title in a few seasons. Based on the few games that Jesus has played in an Arsenal shirt, BacarySagna is right. Jesus has started his Arsenal career with two goals and two assists in two Premier League games.

Speaking further on Jesus, Sagna said he has a fantastic mentality and that he’s a fantastic person. According to him, Jesus would be the main man at Arsenal unlike when he was just one of the attacking players at Manchester City.
Jesus has been in very good form since he started to play for the Gunners. He didn’t score in his first competitive game for Arsenal, but he was a thorn in the flesh of the opposition defenders. Jesus was not one of the goalscorers as Arsenal recorded a 2-0 victory over hosts and London rivals Crystal Palace thanks to the goals from his compatriot, Gabriel Martinelli, and Marc Guehi (own goal). In his second competitive game for Arsenal, Jesus was the star of the show as Arsenal beat Leicester City 4-2 at home. He scored a brace during the game and could have scored more at the expense of the Foxes. Jesus would be hoping to maintain his form when Arsenal take on newly promoted team Bournemouth this weekend.
