Frenchman Bacary Sagna enjoyed a good club career, which started at French team Auxerre in his teen years. The Ex-French international teamed up with Auxerre at the age of 15 and went on to make his debut as a professional at the club. He was at Auxerre when Arsene Wenger signed him in 2007 for a fee said to be around £7m. In the end, the transfer fee paid for him turned out to be a good one after the player spent seven successful years at the Emirates Stadium.

In the end, a 5-2 win reduced the gap to seven points and Arsenal went on to pip their rivals to third place and Champions League football. Fourth place didn't qualify for Champions League football that season after sixth-placed Chelsea took the spot for winning the competition that season.

3. His Physique – The Frenchman had a good fitness during his time at Arsenal buoyed by his physique. Sagna was undoubtedly a fine athlete when he was at his prime with the Gunners.
