A lot of people might not be giving City too much of a chance for becoming the Premier League title holders again this season considering how they are poised in the standings right now but, despite that, Bacary Sagna has not given up the hope.

According to Sagna, the chances are still there and the whole City squad knows that. There is desperation in the camp to try and turn the corner.

The Sky Blues, due to three successive losses in February-March, saw their position getting weakened in the table, but, they have had 4 points from the last couple of games and they seem to be storming back into it again, with a 4-0 win over Aston Villa aiding their cause.

However, they have a 10-point margin to nullify if they have to top the table which is surely something hard to do with not a big part of the season remaining, but, if anyone can do that, its City only as they have got the equipped personnel.

While, Sagna admits City’s position could and should have been much stronger, he also believes there is no team which has run away with the title till now and everyone has lost points at certain stages of the season. The latest Premiership outright odds at StanJames suggest that City still have a chance, with only Leicester and Tottenham currently being backed ahead of them.

In the words of the France international, "Ideally, we would not have liked to lose as many points as we did, but then, it has been the case with almost every team. You can see there have been points lost by the others as well and that has kept it quite open even at this juncture."

"And look, we have handled such sort of situation in the past and have done it under pressure and there is no reason for us not to back ourselves to do it again."

City’s next Premiership challenge is the local derby against United on 20th of March.
